After teaching myself how to use the QGIS atlas tool, I used it to generate a map series of all 343 provincial parks in Ontario. The data came from the provincial Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry's excellent GeoHub website.
The maps depict the area of each park, as well as nearby conservation areas and Indigenous reserves. Water features, elevation contour lines and roads are also shown. An inset marks the location of the park within the province, and the names of selected municipalities are labeled.
This was a good first pass considering the scope (it took six hours to export all the maps) but there are several areas I'd like to improve on, including making the labelling and symbology more consistent, and adding further relevant context around each park.
A few representative maps are below; the full set is available here.
